Andre Sigourney

After receiving his advanced TESOL certificate in 2005, Andre moved to Costa Rica to teach business English at Inlingua International. At Inlingua, Andre was a model teacher who was frequently requested to teach managers at multinational corporations and even the presidents of some large national companies. In 2007, Andre started his own language school in the rural town of Coronado. The aim of this school has been to provide a cheap alternative to members of the community seeking to learn how to speak foreign languages. He has even worked with community leaders to make subsidized English lessons available for children. Recently, Andre became a certified TESOL instructor and licensed partner of Global TESOL College. He has established this TESOL program in Coronado not only for his love of the community but also to help boost local education and tourism.

Kristin Reid was born in New Jersey and grew up surfing at the Jersey shore. Her love of the ocean and adventure led her to explore the world. During college she enrolled in the Semester at Sea program, which involved cross-cultural field studies in five countries, including; Russia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. It was here where she discovered the importance of English as a world language for business and communication. After graduating from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA with a B.A. in Economics, she began teaching financial education classes. Her love of teaching, travel and adventure brought her to Costa Rica in March of 2006 to pursue her passion, providing people with the tools they need to succeed in life and business. She quickly recognized the passion and drive of her students and this further fueled her desire to dedicate her life to teaching. Having conducted courses on everything from basic English grammar to presentations, socializing, and finance, she realized she wanted to share her knowledge and experience with aspiring teachers. She currently resides in Coronado, Costa Rica where she enjoys exploring the mountains, kick-boxing, and surfing on the weekends.
